As many of you know, our sweet Emmy spent her first six weeks in the NICU at Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. Emmy is one of very few babies that has Bilateral Vocal Cord Paralysis. At just two weeks old, she was given a trach to create a safe airway and although it has become second nature to us, we have a long road ahead.
Since coming home as a family, we’ve wanted to give back to show our appreciation for the support we so generously received during one of the most difficult times in our lives. Without Jackson Chance, it would’ve been extremely difficult to drive back and forth to take care of our other daughter stuck at home during this. The Jackson Chance Foundation partners with hospitals to provide complimentary parking passes to every family with a baby in the NICU to ensure the financial burden of parking does not stand in the way of any parent being with their child.
