Rhett Arthur is turning 4, April 13th, help us celebrate by giving back to families in the neonatal intensive care unit.
Rhett was born at 25 weeks at Prentice in an emergency delivery.
He was 12 inches and 1 lbs, 10 oz. He stayed at the NICU there for 108 days and came home “wireless” (no wires or tubes) one week after his original due date. He had surgery at Lurie, where we were surprised to have our parking paid for. We were also given a Mother’s Day gift of a nights stay at the Hard Rock Hotel from the JCF.
It was such a nice and relaxing thing for us during a time that was stressful and full of hours in the NICU.
We have since moved to south Florida for my husbands job, but always hold a special place in our hearts for Prentice, Lurie and all the doctors and nurses there who saved my life and the life of our sweet boy.
We still keep our house key on the owl key chain so we are always reminded of how lucky we are to have Rhett with us!
