“Our journey into parenthood was everything, but normal. At 22 weeks I faced a long stay in the hospital due to PPROM. At 29 weeks, on March 14, 2017, we welcomed our miracle babies, Harrison and Brayden, into the world. We knew the road ahead would be filled with many unknowns and potential challenges. Two days later, our sweet Harrison passed away in our arms.
During the scariest time in our life, Julie brought us much needed comfort. She exemplifies the definition of compassion. She allowed us to cry and helped us to laugh. Learning how to grieve the loss of Harrison while celebrating the milestones Brayden reached was difficult, but Julie helped us work through the mixed emotions.
Julie has a love that is contagious. Watching her read and interact with Brayden melted our hearts. We will always remember the way she helped advocate for Brayden’s needs. Our 94 day stay in the NICU was filled with a rollercoaster of emotions. Julie always celebrated Brayden, but never forgot to honor our sweet Harrison.
We will forever be grateful for Julie and the love she shared with our family. The journey of unknowns and challenges was more manageable with Julie’s compassion for our two boys, Harrison and Brayden.”
