Meet the Ebeling Family

Pamela, Henry V, Alexander, and Hank IV

Four people, two adults and two babies, are smiling and posing for a photo. The babies are wearing matching black t-shirts with the word "TWIN 01" printed on them. One baby has a nasal cannula, and the other has a small red mark on his arm. The background appears to be a hospital room with medical equipment and decorations on the wall.

Because Every Moment Matters.

On November 15, 2022, our lives changed forever when our twin boys, Henry, V. and Alexander, were born at just 25 weeks. In a matter of days, Henry was transferred to Lurie Children’s Hospital, and Alexander joined him a month later. For the next 283 days, the NICU became our home.

Those months were filled with challenges, fear, and exhaustion. They were also filled with strength, hope, and love. We were fortunate to be there for every moment: every procedure, every setback, every milestone. The help of Jackson Chance Foundation made it possible.

The Jackson Chance Foundation removed one giant source of stress for our family: the burdensome cost of parking. This may seem small in the midst of such significant things happening with our sons, but it meant everything to us. Covering the cost of parking meant we could be present with our sons every day without giving a second thought to whether we could afford it. What mattered most to us was being in the NICU with our sons every day.

In February of last year, after six months of being home together as a family, our son Henry unexpectedly passed away. We miss him more than words can express, but we are comforted to know he grew stronger while he was in the NICU, giving us more time to be with him. We held his hand, celebrated his strength, and surrounded him with love.

That gift of presence is something we’ll always be grateful for.

Now, we’re asking you to help other families experience that same gift. A donation to Jackson Chance Foundation ensures that more parents can stay close to their babies during the most critical days of their lives.

Give today. Because every moment matters.

With love and gratitude,

Hank & Pamela Ebeling
