10th Annual Ping Pong Ball Highlights

Jackson Chance Foundation celebrated its 10th Annual Ping Pong Ball on Friday, November 8th, at SPIN Chicago, with over 350 guests raising an impressive $453,000! This year’s event featured a March Madness-style bracket challenge, captained by sports legends Jerry Azumah (Chicago Bears), Denis Savard (Hall of Fame Chicago Blackhawks), Will Perdue (Chicago Bulls), and Sarah Spain (espnW & iHeart Radio). Jerry Azumah’s team triumphed in the tournament, with Dwight Blackman defending his Ping Pong Ball Champion title.

The interactive fundraiser blended a table tennis tournament, culinary delights, cocktails, and a live auction, all supporting the foundation’s mission to ease the financial burden of parking for NICU families. Guests enjoyed various activities in the iconic 18,000-square-foot venue, with auction paddles soaring for exclusive packages like experiences in Marrakesh, Provence, Havana, and Napa Valley. Sports fans bid on a pitching lesson with Ryan Dempster and a Monday Night Football experience with Jerry Azumah. One of the most anticipated packages a private dinner for 10 guests by Chef Erick Williams with wine pairings by Master Sommelier Ken Fredrickson raised $50,000!

The VIP Reception featured local media personalities, celebrities, and athletes competing in the VIP tournament, hosted by NBC5’s Kye Martin. The event also included the presentation of the Owl Give Award, sponsored by Reflection Window + Wall, honoring a NICU team member with an all-expenses-paid vacation. This year’s winner was Whitney Benson of Northwestern Prentice Women’s Hospital, nominated by Katelyn and Andrew Kereiakes, who shared their personal story about the foundation’s impact.
